In Texas, Bald Cypress (Taxodium Distichum) can be found in the Piney woods, Gulf Prairies and marshes, Post Oak Savannah, Rio Grande Plains, and Edwards plateau, where it sometimes reaches heights of more than 100 ft.
The fern like leaves of the Bald Cypress turn a beautiful coppery bronze in the fall. it will grow in a wide variety of soil types that have ample moisture.
